Wesleigh and I joined my mom for a “girls only” vacation this weekend to Turks and Caicos. The weather was, of course, perfection. After the craziness of the holidays, it was the perfect time to get away…
I thought I would be totally stressed chasing Wesleigh around but, honestly, I think she was feeling the island vibes because she was a total peach. Yes, she fell and scraped her knees when I took her for a walk and YES SHE picked her nose when I tried to get a cute shot of her in her new swimsuit. My mantra all weekend was: “She’s a baby.” I lowered my expectations as to how I thought she “should” behave and tried to keep my cool when she was running around trying to get into things she shouldn’t. Traveling with a baby is not as hard as we can sometimes make it.
