The Latch Bottle by Munchkin

La Petite Peach_Latch Munchkin

When Wesleigh was born I was determined to just breastfeed her as long as I possibly could. It has definitely been the most amazing bonding experience. However, I waited way, way too long to introduce a bottle (6 months to be exact). I was so nervous that if I did, my supply would run low, and then that would be the end of breastfeeding-a fear I now know most moms have!

This sweet baby decided that she actually HATED (I mean screaming-hated) bottles. I wrote it off as a fluke. I bought all types…and spent a ton of money on failed attempts at getting her to drink from one.

Fast forward to month 9, and I was not any closer than I was 3 months before. A friend mentioned the Munchkin Latch Bottle. My husband begged me not to buy any more bottles. I half-heartedly said it would be my last go. Wesleigh immediately took to the bottle and drank an entire ounce. A small, but exciting victory! We are now up to 4 ounces a day, and I could not be happier. She is successfully breastfeeding, and drinking from the Latch bottle. The reason she loves it is because it functions just like the breast, so it was an easy transition. She latches right on!

If you are having trouble getting your babe to bottle feed, I highly recommend giving the Latch bottle a try! I am so proud that I had to show off my sweet girl enjoying her breakfast…

Thanks so much to Rebecca Hansen of First Mate Photo for shooting this for me!
