Winter Survival Guide

Hello! Hope you are all staying warm in this crazy winter weather. West coast friends, well, I am just jealous. There I said it. However, I don’t think I could ever go year-round with out ANY snow. It’s really pretty here! I love New England, and so I’m going to make the best of this winter. Here is my guide for surviving winter and staying stylish…

Every once and a while, I get lucky enough to head to a cafe and do some writing in peace (with no kids that is). When I do, I like to pretend I am Carrie Bradshaw heading to Starbucks to work on my article…

With a lack of vitamin D here in the Northeast, I need a morning pick me up. I love a good cup of coffee, but sometimes I have a mid day crash. This almond butter smoothie recipe is my “go-to” when trying keeping my energy up in the cold months.

Blueberry Almond Butter Smoothie

1 ripe banana
1 1/2 cups frozen blueberries (6 oz.)
1 tablespoon lemon juice
3 tablespoons almond butter
2 tablespoons flaxseeds
3 dates (Medjool or Deglet), pitted
2 cups water

Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.

My face and body get SO dry in the winter. I have oily skin, and I still need these essentials to get me through…

  Keeping moisturized

Try being stylish in frigid weather. It’s practically impossible. But I’ll be darned if I can’t wear my cute heels and midi skirt on a date night!

Date Night

Tory Burch: Multi Stripe Logo Jacquard Scarf,

J.Crew: Vivez Le Reve cotton T-Shirt,

Jules Smith: Double Layer Lariat Charm Necklace,

Nicholas: Embroidered Mesh Ball Skirt,

Soia and Kyo: Rebecca Classic Wool Trench Coat,

and Kate Spade: Larisa
