As you know from our summer vacation post, our graphic designer Heidi, is in Europe and we have been drooling over her instagrams! She sent us these latest pics of her trip so far, get ready to SWOON!
From Heidi: I can’t believe it’s only been/already been 2 weeks since we departed from US soil and landed in Rome. We have packed so much in those days already! As soon as we arrived we checked out the Colosseum for a few minutes before we met with Halidis to get the keys to our apartment! Over the next few days we adventured to the Vatican museum and to the very top of St. Peter’s Basilica, took a tour through the rolling hills of Tuscany for a wine tasting in Montecino (even heard Monks chant at a local Abby)!! Then we were off to Sorrento, it was fun figuring out the public transportation to get to such a remote area without a car or hiring someone. On the first full day we explored Mt. Vesuvius, one of the most active volcanoes in Europe, and ventured through the ancient streets of Pompeii. The next day we hired a boat to take us over to show us Capri. Mario, of Mama Mia Boat Tours, brought us to the best spots and allowed us a lot of swimming time! I love that clear warm Mediterranean water! We stopped on the main land for three hours, just enough time to take the chair lift to the top of Anacapri and have some limoncello!
We just spent the weekend relaxing in our apartment, and recouping for our trip to Venice and Florence!
