BIG ANNOUCEMENT from La Petite Peach!
I have been so excited to write this post, that I think I wrote it about 30 times! There is something big happening at La Petite Peach, and I am SO excited to share it with you.
I started this blog for inspiration after living abroad in Italy with my son Luke, who was just a baby at the time. I was there to study writing, and although the education I received was bar none, what I actually experienced was priceless. Life in Europe was simple, we never wanted to come home (we did though!) and it boiled down to this… family, friends, and good food are what matters the most. I wanted to bottle this up, and bring it home with me… It took me some time to actually begin blogging, but then just last year I officially launched La Petite Peach as a reminder to always treasure what is most important in life. To always pick quality over quantity, and to savor every moment with my family.

This is the really exciting time in a bloggers life (I’m a blogger! Love that!), when blogging becomes an actual living, and breathing company! It became time to take it to the next level. So my friends, with the help of my amazing web designer (ya Hi Design!) this little blog is going to be redesigned into a brand new site that is more user friendly/modern. What this means is www.lapetitepeach.com is going to have a temporary place holder until the new design launches (check it out ASAP!), and we will still be blogging away on www.lapetitepeach.com/blog So keep reading along for updates! You can sign up on the new page (the screen will prompt you to sign up with your email) and you will be the FIRST to know when the new home of La Petite Peach is live!
This winter we (Luke and I) starred in a short film with IDo Films that will be on the temp page for you to view! We had such an amazing time working with Lori, Matt and Elan (and Alix!!) on this, and I hope you all enjoy it as much as we did!

Hot Toddy Recipe
Happy Sunday La Petite Peach readers! I haven’t done ‘Sunday Notes’ in a while so I thought I would pop over and say hi!
We just got back from a fun weekend in Boston and now we are getting ready for the Super Bowl, GO PATS! While I catch up on some work and blog posts I was day dreaming of a nice cup of tea that I am going to have later. I found this recipe for a Hot Toddy, from this fun book about old traditions and things past called Let’s Bring it Back. Hope you enjoy this fun little drink!
In my Purse (right now!)
Trying to get organized for the new year and realized I need to start with my own bag! Here are some essentials I can’t live without…what’s in your bag?
1. Frederic Fekkai beach waves spray, perfect for making hair look tousled and fun after the beach (just got back from Mexico, sorry!) 2. All natural hand sanitizer, to keep little hands clean after the playground. 3. Le Pen has all these wonderful colors. I use a gray more than the others. 4. Oh yes, Mac Makeup.…always keep what I have on my eyes, in my purse to reapply. 5. A kids polo sweater just in case my little honey gets cold on the go. 6. I am more attached to my Iphone than I would like to admit… 7. Ballet flats from the Gap that fold into a tiny bag. Perfect for walking home after being in heels all day. 8. My blue Moleskin notebook. I write every thing down because if I don’t you can forget about it, cause I will! 9. Chanel lipgloss in coral love, it’s my fav. 10. Magical Thinking by Augusten Boroughs, yes I stalk him, but we did actually meet, and he signed my copy:) 11. Scarf…such a staple and perfectly nautical
All Snuggled up
I have been running around this week getting last minute items, stocking stuffers, food for Christmas dinner… and L’s last day of school before break, was last Friday, eek! Surely some of you can relate to what it is like running errands when your little one is at school vs. not at school.
However, my dad has this awesome hammock at his place that L loves, and my in-laws bought him his own this summer. It’s a cozy little nest, and the other day…your are not going to believe…he fell asleep in it! This = me sitting in the cold and catching up on all….yup all my emails. Beyond psyched!
I just thought I would share this little dream maker with you just in case you have those perfect two trees that are begging for a hammock. It is also safe for little ones because you can keep it low to the ground, and the sides come all the way up and hug them inside.
I hope your little one is snuggled up. What makes them fall asleep in seconds? I would love to hear!
