Hello! Hope you are all staying warm in this crazy winter weather. West coast friends, well, I am just jealous. There I said it. However, I don’t think I could ever go year-round with out ANY snow. It’s really pretty here! I love New England, and so I’m going to make the best of this winter. Here is my guide for surviving winter and staying stylish…

Every once and a while, I get lucky enough to head to a cafe and do some writing in peace (with no kids that is). When I do, I like to pretend I am Carrie Bradshaw heading to Starbucks to work on my article…

With a lack of vitamin D here in the Northeast, I need a morning pick me up. I love a good cup of coffee, but sometimes I have a mid day crash. This almond butter smoothie recipe is my “go-to” when trying keeping my energy up in the cold months.

Blueberry Almond Butter Smoothie

1 ripe banana
1 1/2 cups frozen blueberries (6 oz.)
1 tablespoon lemon juice
3 tablespoons almond butter
2 tablespoons flaxseeds
3 dates (Medjool or Deglet), pitted
2 cups water

Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.

My face and body get SO dry in the winter. I have oily skin, and I still need these essentials to get me through…

  Keeping moisturized

Ila: Body Scrub for Energizing and Detoxifying + Aesop: Rejuvenate Intensive Body Balm, Tata Harper: Regenerating Cleanser + Soveral: Forever Young Rejuvenating Face Oil + Lavett & Chin: Coconut Moisturizing Facial Mist

Try being stylish in frigid weather. It’s practically impossible. But I’ll be darned if I can’t wear my cute heels and midi skirt on a date night!

Date Night

Tory Burch: Multi Stripe Logo Jacquard Scarf,

J.Crew: Vivez Le Reve cotton T-Shirt,

Jules Smith: Double Layer Lariat Charm Necklace,

Nicholas: Embroidered Mesh Ball Skirt,

Soia and Kyo: Rebecca Classic Wool Trench Coat,

and Kate Spade: Larisa

With no exaggeration, I have over six huge bins full of Luke’s old clothes from when he was a baby. I don’t have any clothing from when I was growing up that I could pass down to my kids. Therefore, you can imagine that when Luke was born, I went a little overboard saving anything that wasn’t stained for my future children and grandchildren (don’t lie you thought about it too:).

When Wesleigh came along, of course I pulled out all my “gender neutral” goods to wash up and pass down to her. However, some amazing friends gave me some great hand me downs that I just adore. I can’t think of anything nicer than a friend giving you a dress/boots/beach cover up/sweaters that was worn by their own babe.

This sweet little boho babe shirt was given to me for W, by my friend Tanya (to hold onto until she has a babe of her own) that was HERS when she was a baby. I mean seriously so, so, sweet! It went perfectly with these boyfriend jeans from baby gap and Pendleton moccs from blank (see more outfit details below). It’s way too fun mixing new items with these, practically vintage, hand me downs! Plus I can tell my husband that I am “saving money” since half of her wardrobe was given to me. Speaking of hand me downs, this little silver rattle was his when he was a baby and is perfect for teething toddlers.

Thank you so much to Cambria Grace Photography for shooting this for La Petite Peach, and to Alix for lending us her gorgeous space to shoot in <3.

My favorite things to put on Wesleigh in the winter are knits! Oh, you have heard me say this before? Hehe Sorry! Whenever I see them in a shop, I usually walk out with more than one…

Wesleigh is wearing Waddler co. romper, Zara Coat, Zuzii Shoes, Gap shirt, and turban head warmer by Anthropologie.

Quality knits can actually be really hard to find. Although I love to shop local, this year getting clothing from across the pond is my favorite past time. The little romper Wesleigh is wearing is from Waddler Co., and their pieces are stunning, soft, and so well made. Sometimes I can’t always find what I need in children’s shops, hence this head warmer which I got at Anthropologie the last time we were in New York City (got myself one too!).  Here are my favorites for buying knits locally, and online…

Photography Tip: I put a bunny in the pocket of Wesleigh’s coat to keep her occupied while we photographed her on this COLD New England day!
